The “Century Light” was jointly developed and constructed by Shanghai Waters Environment Development Co., Ltd., Shanghai Maritime University and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation No. 704 Research Institute, and will be used for the environmental protection needs of the Shanghai World Expo Park. It has a total length of 26.5 meters and a displacement of 92 tons. It can clean 72,000 square meters of water every hour. The ship is equipped with a highly efficient closed automatic cleaning salvage and storage system that enables automatic collection, storage and shipment of surface waste and aquatic plants with a collection volume of 4 cubic meters.
