Online retailer giant Amazon.com has installed more than 15,000 robots in 10 warehouses in the United States, which is expected to be able to run packaged packages faster during Christmas and reduce operating costs. The robot was bought by Amazon in 2012 for $775 million. The robot is designed to help the leading US online retailers to provide customers and brick and cement stores with the required items faster. The robot can also help Amazon avoid accidents during the holiday season last year, such as the proliferation of parcels overwhelmed shipping and logistics company UPS, and at the Christmas time, global parcels have delayed delivery. Amazon provided a shipping refund and a $20 gift card to compensate customers. Amazon started deploying robots this summer for the holiday season. The updated warehouse is in five states including California, Texas, Florida, New Jersey and Washington. But this move also has a price. Amazon expects to spend about $46 million in June 2013 and will install robots in its warehouse in Raskin, Fla., which includes equipment worth $26.1 million.
