ZF first announced in September 2016 that it will establish an Indian technology center. The proposed investment scale of the facility will reach 15 million euros (about 15.7695 million US dollars), and will continue to invest in the next five years. By 2020, The center will have 2,500 engineers.
Mamatha Chamarthi, chief digital officer of ZF, said: “The Indian Technology Center will seamlessly integrate with ZF’s R&D network and become one of the pillars of enterprise innovation. The demand for software solutions is Growing, ZF's capacity will increase several times, helping to support users' growth expectations in global and local markets."
Working with a global team of engineers, technology center activities will focus on electrical and software innovation. At the same time, the Indian Technology Center will also promote local product development.
