Introduction & Application of Planetary Roller ExtruderÂ
Planetary Group is the core of the Planet Extruders and basically consists of a planet barrell, a main spindle (the sun) and several satellite spindles (screws) which rotate together in harmony. The inner surface of the barrell and the outer surfaces of the satellite screws are formed of 45 degree helix threads. The planetary group made of special steel hardened by nitridation becomes more resistant against corrosion and wear. Main Spindle and Satellite Spindles are made of special steel and hardened by induction heat treatment.
Planetary extruder system compared to other extruder systems provides a much better plastification thanks to the homogeneous and very efficient raw material mixing action. Our Planetary Extruder performs at least 10 times better plastification and homogeneity compared to the Twin-Screw or Single-Screw Extruders.
Having a compact design, the planetary group in our Planet Extruder provides an easy and comfortable dismantling and cleaning for its operators. The Planetary System has its own self-cleaning feature due to the design of the Planetary Screws. The screw design inside the barrell is continuously pushing the whole raw material forward, therefore no left-over product will remain in the Planetary Group. This provides a great convenience, especially for those users who are working with multiple colors.

Our company offers two-stage planetary gear extruder having different discharging systems for different purposes and areas. This two-stage Planetary Extruder is formed by 3 main parts.

Part 1:Â Feeding Extruder Unit has two sections. The feeding-screw which pushes the raw material into the planetary group. And the Planetary Screws Group.
Part 2:Â Vacuum-Degassing Chamber where volatile gases are removed from the Plastic Mixture to ensure better quality.

Part 3:Â Discharge Unit /division which properly pushes out the plastified and de-gassed mixture.
The first compounding extruder runs at a high speed for good mixing and high output capacity.The second extruder must be a larger diameter single screw one that can run at lower screw speed .The lower screw can avoid over -heating by internal cooling system and strong heat exchange ability .The functional separation allows operator to more flexibly control the expectable material mixing process and temperature.
