Hangvey transmission industry low-key pioneer

Recently, the reporter met Feng Jianrong, general manager of Hangzhou Iveco Automotive Transmission Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Hangweike) at the Automotive AMT Industrialization Standards and Laboratory Seminar. Feng Jianrong is very low-key. In the course of interviews and interviews with reporters, he repeatedly stressed: "We want to make publicity after the results are achieved."

Hangveco has been ahead of many companies in the transmission field. Hangwike is the first domestic manufacturer to realize the commercialization of mechanical automatic transmission (AMT). Currently, the monthly sales volume is about 1,500 units. Over the past two years, more than 20,000 vehicles have been equipped with AMT transmissions. At this time, the AMT projects of other transmission companies in China are still in the R&D pilot phase.

In October 2003, Chery, Italy's Marelli, and Hangerke began the joint development of AMT transmissions for trial production of QQ1.1L models. Since then, Hangweike's AMT project has been implemented. Now Hangveco has already mass-produced two QQ AMT transmissions. Chery's other AMT models are undergoing prototype bench tests and road tests for vehicle reliability. The project is expected to achieve mass production during the year.

Hang Vico's AMT project is not an autonomous development in the full sense, nor is it simply a "take-up." In this project, Hangweike undertook the development and manufacture of the transmission body, and conducted reliability tests on the transmission body, and bench life tests of the synchronizer, shifting system, and actuator.

“I never comment on competitors’ efforts in R&D. Whatever the outcome, they are the contribution that they have made to the sustainable development of China’s transmission industry with hard work and sweat. The situation of Hangweike is different from other companies, drawing on foreign advanced experience, but Our purpose is the same as other companies, but it is to develop ourselves, but the road is different.” Feng Jianrong shared the experience of Avon Industrialization with Hangover for four years.

Two points in the experience came from working with Marelli. “The confirmation standards and test platform for AMT products need to be established and must be fully and systematically verified before industrialization. Mareli's laboratory for AMT control unit testing covers an area of more than 10,000 square meters and we carry out QQ models. At the time of development, more than 60 transmissions were sent to Magneti Marelli in Italy for testing and approval, and from the perspective of cost reduction, some components should be standardized and serialized. Requirements, using three types of standardized hydraulic actuators to meet global market demand.”

the student surpasses the master. Cooperating with Magneti Marelli allowed him to take the lead in the AMT field, but he was not satisfied with this lead. The dream is to develop a dual clutch mechanical automatic transmission (DCT), which is currently the focus of research in the international automatic transmission technology field. In 2003, the world’s first DCT prototype came out. Now, with the exception of Germany and the United States, no other country has completely independent intellectual property rights. According to the current situation of R&D in various countries, a relatively complete theory of DCT automatic control has not yet been formed. In particular, there is no perfect theoretical system in terms of control objectives and control strategies.

Hangwik is becoming an important member of the global DCT R&D. Last spring, through competition, the DCT development project won the national "863" project. Hang Vico will cooperate with the OEM to collaborate with research institutes such as Jilin University and Shanghai Jiaotong University to jointly research and develop DCT products. It is reported that Hangwike has made significant progress in the design of the transmission structure and the dual clutch assembly, and has achieved important research results in the development of DCT drive system simulation and electronic control systems.

The DCT R&D tasks issued by the “863” Program are many and include the theoretical research of DCT automatic transmission, modeling and simulation technology, development of prototypes, development of control systems, software development of control systems, experimental research, and DCT product technology.

Feng Jianrong said that these contents are interlocking, there is no theoretical research, the development of prototype prototype has become a passive water. Using the "acquisitionism" method to create a prototype, it lost its independent innovation and lost its independent intellectual property rights. In these research and development content, the development of control systems and software is very important. The quality of the control system determines the quality of the automatic transmission.

“According to the current situation, we can complete the task within the time required by the state.” Feng Jianrong is full of hope and pride.
