IBM: Lithium-air battery prototype launched in 2013 in 2020

Lithium air batteries use a catalytic air cathode to convert oxygen into lithium peroxide, an electrolyte, and a lithium anode. Therefore, under the same weight, lithium-air battery storage capacity is 10 times that of lithium-ion batteries, and to realize this potential of lithium-air batteries is a scientific problem. IBM and its partners have conducted a multi-year study to explore the feasibility of commercialization of a rechargeable lithium-air system; the project was named Battery500project, meaning that a single charge of a battery allows an electric vehicle to run up to 500 Miles; If the indicator is converted into battery capacity, this vehicle power battery requires about 125kWh of energy.
