Production of Roewe E50 electric vehicle in the latest production in late October

Jiang Jun, the deputy general manager of SAIC Motor’s passenger vehicle company, said that the Roewe brand’s first A0 pure electric vehicle, Roewe E50, will be launched in the second half of the year. Recently learned that Roewe E50 pure electric vehicle plans to start mass production in late October this year, with an annual sales target of 1,000 units.

The Roewe E50 is SAIC's Shanghai Automotive Technology Center, which took three years to build on its own. SAIC owns completely independent intellectual property rights and first appeared as a concept car at the Shanghai World Expo. The Roewe E50 is the smallest of the SAIC passenger cars to date and is very similar to the Chevrolet spark.

The Roewe E50 will be powered by a 47kw electric motor. The Roewe E50 uses a lithium iron phosphate battery and has both fast and slow charging modes. The maximum speed can reach 130km/h. The cruising range is 190km and 30 minutes can charge 80%.
