The camera is only a part of the video surveillance system. Even if the camera is intact, the monitoring screen may not be displayed, stuttered, or lost. Could not find the webcam
Whether the IP address of the IP camera has been modified. Please ensure that the network of the IP camera and the NVR are connected to each other. You can ping to see if they can pass.
Screen freezes after camera is connected to NVR
There are many factors that cause image stuttering because of network bandwidth issues, involving external device switches, NVRs, network cables, etc. You can reduce the number of camera frames, resolution, code stream, etc., and connect the camera to a PC to observe whether the real-time image is smooth.
Camera image is black
Check whether the power supply is properly connected and whether the power supply voltage meets the requirements; try to connect a single camera to the PC. If an image appears, it is most likely due to a conflict with the IP of another camera or the bandwidth has reached the upper limit. When PoE power is supplied, please confirm whether the quality of the network cable is up to standard. (You can directly measure the resistance of the network cable with a multimeter)
Images appear diagonal, water ripples, horizontal lines
This situation is not necessarily a problem of the product itself. In many cases, it is caused by the following reasons:
Wire quality problems, it is recommended to use national standard wires as much as possible. Poor quality wires are prone to interference during transmission.
The video cable or camera is disturbed by a strong magnetic field. Strong magnetic field sources such as: high-power motors, high-frequency transmitters, etc .; strong magnetic fields will interfere with most cameras.
Transmission line is too long
When judging, please replace the cable, power supply, etc. of the camera and connect the test separately.
Sometimes there is no image
Whether the power supply voltage is stable, whether the crystal head of the network cable is loose or not, whether the power cable is disconnected or has poor contact, and the network bandwidth reaches the upper limit, which sometimes results in no video transmission from the camera.
Infrared camera works fine during the day and no image at night
It is because the power of the power supply or the PoE switch cannot meet the requirements, because the infrared integrated machine is no different from ordinary cameras when it is working during the day, but at night the infrared light is in the working state, and the working current suddenly increases to cause overload.
For example, the camera is 18W, there are 7 such cameras in total. If you use an 8 PoE power supply switch, the power is 150W, and the total PoE power is about 140W excluding the loss, which is no problem during the day, but When the infrared is turned on at night, the power will be higher, so this switch will definitely not be able to move, then you must replace it with a higher power PoE switch, such as 200W or more.
How many cameras can be connected with one switch
According to the parameter settings of each network camera (resolution, frame number, image quality, etc.), for example, a 200W pixel camera's bitstream bandwidth is 4Mbps, while the actual bandwidth of a switch is only about 60% of the theoretical value (100 (Mega switches are roughly 60Mbps, Gigabit is 600Mbps).
If you use a 100M switch, you can connect 15 (15 * = 60Mbps)
If you use a Gigabit switch, you can connect 150 units (150? = 600M)
These are taken with mainstream H.264 cameras as an example. If it is an H.265 camera, the bandwidth of the same picture quality is halved, which means that you can bring twice as many surveillance cameras.
Insufficient power supply for dome cameras using POE switches
Generally, the speed dome uses more power than other types of cameras. Therefore, when selecting PoE power for the scene, you must pay attention to selecting a POE + switch. In actual field use, it is still recommended to use a power supply for power supply. (Considering distance, environment, stability, etc.).
Note when NVR and camera are different brands
At present, most of the cameras produced by mainstream manufacturers use the 0NVIF protocol. When adding cameras to NVRs, pay attention to the protocol matching.
Sometimes setting the onvif protocol does not solve the problem. Possible cause: The IP address of the camera is not on the same network segment as the recorder. The port is not set correctly and the password is not set correctly. The camera is shipped without the onvif protocol enabled.
So we will investigate these issues one by one. After troubleshooting, these possible causes have been checked again, but the problem camera still cannot be added.
How to do it?
The above tests have been carried out. Why isn't it solved? It may be that Haikang ’s camera is not activated. Dahua ’s nvr needs to be activated to add Haikang ’s camera. It may be that a user is not added to Haikang ’s camera. Therefore, Hikang ’s camera is added to the user and then the onvif protocol is enabled.
Network → Advanced Configuration → Integrated Protocol. When adding a user, the password should be the same as the password of the recorder. Then confirm that the onvif protocol is enabled. Then power off the camera and restart.
Why NVR can't add cameras with higher resolution
Please check the parameters of the NVR. The maximum resolution of the cameras supported by the NVR is generally insufficient display resources. If it is not supported, you can reduce the resolution in the camera settings.
