ARM acquires Stream Technologies, an IoT technology service provider, to strengthen its own chip business

Recently, chip design company ARM acquired Stream Technologies, which will provide better connectivity for IoT devices.

The Internet of Things devices have become more intelligent and connected than ever. ARM wants to make everything work more seamlessly by providing chips and hardware infrastructure. Stream Technologies can help it achieve this goal.

This company's technology can provide ARM's customers and partners with a single platform, allowing them to see the connectivity of all devices and manage them (regardless of their locations and connected networks). According to Hima Mukkamala, ARM's senior vice president and general manager of the Internet of Things cloud services, the Stream Technologies-supported physical connection includes all industry standard wireless protocols and equipment key to IoT data access.

By 2035, ARM expects to have one trillion devices connected to the Internet. There are many reasons for this increase, including the opportunities brought by other companies' pursuit of the commercial value of Internet of Things data.

The benefits of data are often obvious: higher efficiency, faster market entry, cost savings, and new revenue channels. But the premise of these benefits is that the data must be reliable, secure, and quickly accessible and have meaningful data conclusions. ARM's Mbed IoT Device Management Platform enables companies to securely develop and manage networked devices on a large scale to address these needs.

Thanks to the acquisition of Stream Technologies, this platform is undergoing new changes, it will be able to manage the networking of each device, no matter where the device is.

Established in 2000, Stream is a network management technology provider with 770,000 hosted subscribers and handles 2TB of traffic per day.

Tower Crane Power Cable

BQ supplys two types of Tower Crane Power Cable, YC Electric Power Cable and YCW Insulated Power Cable.

Power Cable is used for heavy industry including mining and marine, they must be robust and capable of handling both torsional and tensile stresses simultaneously. These mobile machines for lifting and handling are often manufactured with a robust rubber outer sheathing to protect against the constant reeling and movement as well as providing protection against oils and greases. Cables with Polyethylene (PUR) and PVC sheathing are also available. The cables are UV resistant – applications such as tower cranes and port loading gantries are subject to the elements – as well as being resistant to oils and greases.

The power cable used for a tower crane is typically a heavy-duty and high-voltage cable to handle the electrical power requirements of the crane. These cables are designed to be durable, flexible, and capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions. They are usually made of materials such as rubber or neoprene for insulation and protection against abrasion, oil, and chemicals. The exact specifications of the power cable may vary depending on the specific model and power requirements of the tower crane.
