Fixed tube heat exchanger consists of tube bundle, tube plate, shell, head, folded plate, etc. Tube bundle ends fixed in the tube plate, the tube can be expanded (the inner hole of the tube with mechanical expansion, so that the tube wall from the inward to outward extrusion and fixed in the tube plate) or welded to the tube plate. The tube bundle is placed within the tube shell, with headers and flanges fixed at both ends. In this way, one fluid flows from the inside of the tube and the other from the outside. The space between the two heads and the tube plate is used to distribute or collect the fluids inside the tube. The two fluids do not mix with each other, but only exchange heat through the tube wall.
Advantages: simple and compact structure, high pressure resistance, low cost and easy to clean the tube side.
Disadvantages: Risk of blockage when the tube is damaged or needs to be replaced.
When the difference between the wall temperature of the tube bundle and the shell or the coefficient of linear expansion of the material is large, a large thermal stress will be generated in the shell and the tube bundle. A flexible compensation ring (also called expansion joint) should be installed on the shell to reduce the thermal stress.

Shell acquires LNG fuel for two LNG dual fuel powered cruise ships
Recently, Aida Cruises of Germany announced that it has signed an LNG supply agreement with Shell to supply LNG fuel for two LNG dual fuel powered cruise ships "AIDAprima" and "AIDAperla".
Under the contract, Shell will become the exclusive strategic partner of Aida Cruises, providing LNG fueling services at all ports operated by the ship. The ports currently being prepared include Hamburg, Southampton, Le Havre, Rotterdam and Zeebrügge, which used to transport LNG fuel to trucks by truck.
Maarten Wetselaar, president of the Royal Dutch Shell Integrated Gas Business, said, “A ship carrying 7,000-8,000 passengers uses the same amount of fuel as a small city with 30,000 people.â€
It is reported that the "AIDAprima" ship serviced by the agreement was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan, delivered in March this year, arrived in Hamburg on April 21, will open the first regular sailing from Hamburg on April 30, and in Hamburg on May 7 Hold a formal naming ceremony. The ship has an 18-story deck with a total length of 300 meters, a width of 37.6 meters and a total of 125,000 tons. It can accommodate 3,300 passengers and 900 crew members with a maximum speed of 21.5 knots. Its sister ship "AIDAperla" is still being built in Mitsubishi and is expected to be delivered in 2017.
