Daqing logging company's new logging tool won the national patent

The logging company from Daqing Drilling Engineering Company was informed that the high-resolution density logging tool developed by this company won a practical national patent award. The successful development of this project has changed the current status that density logging equipment cannot meet the needs of thin-diameter reservoir evaluation, and provided technical support for stable production of Daqing Oilfield.

Density logging tool as a special parameter to study rock density and porosity, can calculate the stratum density by measuring the gamma ray intensity in the open hole, and analyze the stratum structure. However, due to the relatively short source distance of existing density logging tools, it is impossible to analyze the thin difference layer in more detail, and the high resolution density logging tool is improved for the existing instrument probe part, and the original dual source distance is upgraded to Long, medium, and short source distances are used to obtain more detailed stratigraphic information by shortening the source distance, supplemented by modern digital signal processing technology and reasonable structural optimization design to effectively improve the delamination capability of the instrument.
